Ace is coming home!!!

We are sooooooooooo excited!
Acey is coming home tomorrow!!!
Our hearts will be complete again!
Ace spent the first week of Lily Kate's life at B's house. The next Tuesday, he went to San Antonio to spend the week with Honey and Sashi. After too many tears to count over the past two weeks from missing him, Ace is coming home tomorrow. Yippee!!!
When Ace was born, I told everyone I wanted nothing more than to be alone at home with Ace and Jonathan. When Ace was a c-section, I realized how bad I needed help. This time around, I called in the troops and they were AWESOME! B took Ace so that I could take advantage of Honey at home with me and Lily Kate. Ace could not have been happier anywhere else - B personally knows the present fairy and she came to visit Ace every morning! He's had a blast at Honey's but hearing his sweet voice say, "Mommy, I want to come to my house," just broke my heart into a million pieces.
Mudflap, Skids is soooooooo ready to kiss all over your face tomorrow.

Finally photos!

Lily Kate is two weeks old and I am finally getting back in the swing of things. I've been spending all my time trying to remember how to care for an infant. I can't believe the past two weeks have passed as fast as they have. Here are some shots I took of Lily Kate on a random afternoon.
Pink is her color.
Nope, red is her color.
Maybe she makes any color beautiful to me.
Lele, Brookelyn and Braedyn made a 10 HOUR car trip from Arkansas to meet Lily Kate. (All my other photos of LK and family are stuck on my iPhone!) They wanted to hold her so bad that Tata gave in.
For some reason, Honey and I found Lily Kate's yawn totallly precious. Every time she yawned we were late with the camera until this pic...you would have thought we won the lottery when we saw we'd captured the elusive yawn.
She is a complete treat. She looks so much like Ace that I find myself calling her "Bubba" and feeling like I'm dressing Ace in girls' clothing! Though I doubted my ability to love anyone as much as I love Ace, Lily Kate has taught me how wrong I was. I feel like I have loved her my entire life.

Lily Kate's birthday...today?

I've chronicled the drama of the morning on my "belly blog." See link on the right to "Kelly's Belly." Hopefully I'll be able to start posting pics of our new addition on Monday.

Singing

I was working this morning and heard the sweetest little singing voice. Then I heard, "Mommy, I need to go poo poo." Like any mother, I grabbed my iPhone and my camera and made him sing it again.

Love the dimple, love the smile, love the voice. Couldn't be any more in love than I am right now.

Guilty Posting

Using the pregnancy excuse AGAIN!
Here's a hodge podge of our happenings for the past MONTH that I haven't been blogging. It's just been such a crazy house around here lately. I'm hoping to post before and after photos of all the construction and painting that we finished last month and I'll post all of the projects I've been working on for Lily Kate's arrival on the Belly blog as soon as I can.

Here are the boys at Brynley's 2nd birthday party. Ace is such a little fish in his floaties. I still hover over him continuously but so does his daddy so I don't apologize for it. =)
Blue cookie monster cupcake = bright green poop. No need to panic.
Ace had a serious fever week before last (went to the doctor who just said it was a 24hr virus). All he wanted to do while he was battling his little virus was snuggle. Here's the boys snuggling while we were watching WipeOut.
Mommy and Ace waiting for the fireworks to start on the 4th of July.
Ace's sweet voice just melts me every time he speaks - no matter what he's saying.
Here's to more consistent posting in the future!

World Cup Crazy

Our house is all about soccer right now. For the past month, with our contractor-marathon, soccer has been the only time Ace and I have gotten out of the house (Thanks to Jonathan who actually left work early so that we could make it to class twice!).
Here's Ace sporting the Greek soccer uniform that Daddy bought him when we were in Athens last year. It fits him at the perfect time. We watched Greece play Korea and Ace was excited that he was dressed just like the players on tv.
Here is Ace waiting patiently at soccer class for his coach to come throw his hula hoop so he can run after it. This is a big development - following directions.
Then a set back - not following directions. Hey, he's THREE! I wish I could just lay down whenever and wherever I wanted and rest.
This face cracked me up. I laugh throughout the entire class.
I love the last few seconds of this video. You can tell that Jonathan and I are big on praise because Ace has started to praise himself!

Memorial Adventures

Honey and Sashi visited over the weekend and took us all down to Moody Gardens' Aquarium and Rainforest. Ace was in fine form, running from exhibit to exhibit with total enthusiasm and wanting us to see everything.
The penguins:
Loving on his Honey.
I'm ever wanting a family photo. Jonathan can't see, Ace isn't looking and I need to work on my posture! I call this one a success.
All smiles on the way home. We really thought he'd fall asleep in the car on the way home. Nope. He was a chatterbox the ENTIRE way home while Honey tried to sleep.
(I rectified his shaggy hair on Monday. Didn't realize it was THAT bad!)
